text: To Viswema where I inspected the Thana and back to Kohima after going on with the Political Agent in Manipur to Mao to get the latest authentic news of the breaches in the road and the reported flood in Manipur. We were fortunate in finding a man who had walked from Manipur in two days and had the latest information available. While we were at Mao the Executive Engineer came through on his way down the road intending to get as far as the first of the slips blocking it this side of the washed out parts.
