text: 17th. To Kongnyu, where the transfrontier chiefs of Ngang, Longmien, Songha and Chen turned up, having missed me at Wakching owing to a raid that had necessitated certain gennas contrary to programme. The S.D.O. waited in Tamlu as he was to go back from there by the bridle path to Mokokchung. The transfrontier villages had not much to say except to grouse about the banning of guns in warfare in the control area.
