text: 14th. Over the Kamku ridge at 6800 ft. to the small and squalid Yimtsung village of Temoru, known to Semas as Sanumi, where we camped in a very pleasant spot among pines and long grass about 2 miles short of the village. The march to the camp only about ten miles, through very pleasant country but with exceedingly stiff gradients. While the men and coolies were making camp we went on with a small escort to the village, a squalid place recently built and remarkable only for some exceptionally large Kaka heads, and a very fine view of Saramati, now of course free from cloud. About 10 miles.
text: With the aid of a prismatic compass the site of the village was located on the map. Lat. 25 48' long 94 54' height 5500 ft. We also located the two villages of Purotomi - Purotomi (Sakhalu) lat 25 48', long 94 50' also at 5000 ft., also located Lothuru, a new village from the north and lat 25 51', long 94 54' height 5500.
