text: 4th August. To Derebara 12 miles. 7-20 - 11. We went via Baigo, a Khelma village. A long drop down to the Diyung. Even with 30 zigzags in the last mile and a half the path is not well graded. The bungalow and outhouses at Derebara were recently wrecked by elephants and we lived in the patched up ruins. The animals are a perfect pest here and the Subdivisional Officer is going to have a protective trench dug.
