text: To Vipoma. This is on the western edge of the Angamis and is a degenerating village. It had only 15 houses - there used to be 20 and the people are some weak minded and some crippled. I found difficulty in getting 3 coolies for my loads. There being several khels, (38) they intermarry and so half degeneracy. There is some reason why Nagas do not thrive beyond this line.
