text: I notice these Rengmahs appear to be getting tamer every day for when I first came in among them the women and children used invariably to make a bolt for the jungles the moment they caught sight of me but its quite the reverse now and I found considerable difficulty to-day in keeping them out of my hut even and I am puzzled to decide which is most annoying the intentional "polite attentions" or the unintentional rudeness of these unsophisticated savages.
