2nd February, Monday. Marched to Hurreojan, here also the jungles along the whole of the road has been cut and cleared and the road is once more passable I found the coolies and carpenters busy repairing the old bridges but several new ones' are sadly required specially over some of the larger streams which have never yet been bridged, a great portion of the road also wants raising and numerous old stumps require to be removed.
