text: 27th March, Sunday. Moved camp to Lemhamah a distance of about 8 miles over a pretty fair road passing through Lakehmah. The Penimahs come in as usual and were most anxious to get me to promise that I would protect them but this of course under the present circumstances I was unable to do much as I should have liked to do so for I am sure it's the only policy that can last. Lemhamah I find contains only 55 houses.
