text: 1st December, Thursday. Occupied down at the ghats almost the whole day despatching stores to Deemahpur. Stores which I hoped to have found awaiting my arrival at Samaguting for they were despatched from Calcutta three months ago.
text: 2nd December, Friday. Returned to Borpathar.
text: 3rd December, Saturday. Moved camp to a small Pothar on the right Bank of the Dhanseeree and half way to the Rengma Pothar.
text: 4th December, Sunday. Finding it was impossible to get my loaded elephant through the jungle I visited the Rengma Pothars and returned to yesterdays encamping ground feeling rather done up with my day's march.
