23rd January, Monday. Was occupied a greater portion of today in enquiring into the murder of the two Kookee Scouts. Mr. Browne accompanied by Mr. James arrived about 11 a.m. and the former having intimated a wish that we should start enroute for the boundary the day after tomorrow, I have made the necessary arrangements to do so. My escort and baggage arrived in the afternoon. |
