text: 25th January, Wednesday. Mr. Browne and I left Samaguting this morning and encamped at Meziphemah.
text: 26th January, Thursday. Moved camp to Piphemah which we reached in capital time owing to the coolies of Pherimah not having kept us waiting as they usually do. Browne thinks today's march is nearer 12 miles than 9.
text: 27th January, Friday. passing through Keruphemah, we encamped this evening at Suchemah - distance about 9 miles. Road bad in part and difficult for ponies. Both the villages of Keruphema and Kenemah sent in their quota of coolies this morning without any delay so my having expressed my displeasure on the last occasion I was here seems to have done some good.
text: 28th January, Saturday. Moved camp today to Koheemah passing through the village of Jotsomah enroute. At Kohemah we met Mr. Ogle the Assistant Surgeon who just marched in from the village of Meremah. So as soon as ever the Political Agent of Maneepur puts in an appearance our boundary party will be complete.
