text: 25th December. Made a very long tedious march to-day into Purani Bogri the last ascent up to which was a very stiff one indeed.
text: 26th December. Passing through Lissen we made another pretty stiff march into Sansoni, a village situated between two branches of the Doigurung and its source. From the summit of a hill close to Sansoni we got a capital view of the Angami Hills.
text: 27th December. Having passed through Helloh where I breakfasted, I endeavoured to push on to Lethi but darkness overtook us about half way and we were compelled to encamp in the jungle.
text: 28th December. March into Lethi and having procured some fresh coolies, we descended into the plains at Murfulani. On reaching which I fortunately decided upon making a push for the Nambor Falls where I was very agreeably surprised to find Vernon had also just arrived, so we are now in camp together.
text: 29th December. As Mr. Vernon was anxious to take some photographs of the Falls and sulphur springs, we halted her today and I rode out in the afternoon to Golaghat to fetch my dak, returning to Camp about 8 p.m. The ride back through the forest which was so dark I could scarcely make out the road, was anything but pleasant.
text: 30th December. Having first shown Mr. Vernon where I wished the bridge to be erected over the Nambor, we rode on into Barpathar.
text: 31st December. Marched into Horriajan. I am sorry to say I am feeling as if I were going to have another attack of fever soon.
