6th December, 1872. Made another halt at Mozumah the chiefs having pressed me much to do so and spend another day with them. |

We spent the morning in rifle practice and the afternoon in games, finishing up the evening with a dance in the usual Zengumah style, after which I gave the village a good fat bullock in order that they might finish up the day with a good feed of beef all round - a present which seemed to give great satisfaction. |
