text: The marriages are arranged by payment to the parents of the bride of her estimated value in cows, pigs, fowls, or drink. A feast is given, and those who are invited to it help to build a house for the young couple. The maidens are prized for their physical strength more than for their beauty or family. The women have to work incessantly, whilst the men bask in the sun.
