text: 41. The conduct of the Nagas in the plains has been completely satisfactory. Men of Lakhuti, Samgaon, Bhedargaon, Khabang, Wokha, Samangaon, Phihagaon, Khomagaon, Rangagaon, Kori Lamken, Pengsa, frequented the markets in Golaghat, and Hatigorias and Dupdorias came down in large numbers to Jorhat, taking employment on roadwork, jungle-cutting, and thrashing grain. Six men only were convicted of criminal offences in Sibsagar district during the year. A Kaiyah merchant obtained permission during the year to open a shop at Mulangting, a Hatigoria village in the hills.
