15. The sarkari Nagas behaved well as usual. Two cases of rail thefts by trans-Patkoi Nagas were reported during the year. The conduct of the Barduaria, Namsangia and Barmithunia Nagas continued to be good. Enquiries made by the Political Office, Sadiya Frontier Tract, showed that the practice of human sacrifice was still prevelant in some of the cis-Patkoi administered Naga villages. The persons and villages concerned have been punished and strict orders have been issued which should eradicate this evil. |
