the jury believe that Sam Brewer of Tayne who held from the lord freely by deed one croft of land called Little Slowefield by the rent per annum of 12d and suit of court and they say furthermore that Wm Brewer is his son and should have the right to hold the said premises by virtue of the last will of the said Sam bearing the date 6.4.1605 as by the said will it is clearly shown and appears and there is a precept to the said Wm to appear at the next court to make fealty and to give satisfaction to the lord for his relief by and upon the death of the said Sam Brewer and afterwards to this court came the aforesaid Wm Brewer and paid his relief
