whereas at a court with view here held tuesday being 22.6.1568 Rich Parker was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to one croft of land with appurtenances enclosed late parcel of Bradfeilde containing 4a more or less as by a roll of the same said court here in court produced and clearly shown now at this court it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid Rich Parker after the last court and before this court died and before his death surrendered all and singular the aforesaid premises with appurtenances into the hands of the lord by the hands of Hen Chancie instead of the bailiff in the presence of Thos Smithe and Robt Crowe two customary tenants the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor to the use and behoof of his last will and testament the tenor of which same testament concerning the premises in these words viz item I will and give to Rich Parker my son my house and land belonging to the manor of Colne Priory to him and his heirs upon this condition that he shall suffer his mother to enjoy the one half of the said commodity during his minority and if he shall refuse so to do then my will is that she have hold and enjoy the house with all the appurtenances thereto belonging and to pay to the said Rich my son the sum of 5li a year during his minority upon the demised premises item I will that if my wife shall marry again that then my son shall enter of the demised premises aforesaid to him and his heirs and assigns forever and my wife to be void and frustrate of all my demised premises within six months after the marriage or solemnity as by his testament here in court produced and shown bearing the date 4.3.1611 and under the seal of the ordinary for this area approved it is clearly shown and appears now to this court came the aforesaid Rich Parker and sought for himself admittance to the premises according to the aforesaid surrender to whom the lord by his steward granted thereof seisin to have to him and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown     and he was admitted and his fealty however was respited until etc and because the aforesaid Rich is under age viz aged 16yrs or thereabouts therefore custody both of his body and of the aforesaid lands were committed to Margt Parker his mother to have to her and her assigns until he is aged twenty one years then to take to him the rents and profits
