item to this court came Ann Nicholson widow and produced here in full court a certain warrant or writing from the hand of the lord of this manor signed and sealed with his seal and sought for the warranty or aforesaid script to be enrolled in the roll of this court and it was granted to her etc the tenor of which script is in the following words Colne Priory know all men by these presents that I Rich Harlakenden of the said manor of Colne Priory have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant liberty and licence unto Ann Nicholson widow to fell or stub up three pollingers of oak one of them for groundsels to be employed upon the repairing of the customary tenement of the said Ann Nicholson called Gurneyes holden of the said manor by copy of court roll and the other two bollings for firewood to be spent and burnt upon the premises provided always that all the said trees shall be stubbed or felled before 2.2.next coming after the date hereof and that these presents shall be enrolled at the next court holden for my said manor for her sufficient warrant or otherwise the same shall be void given under my hand and seal 6.1.1616 by me Rich Harlakenden
