item it is shown by the homage that whereas Jn Middleton customary tenant of this same manor for a certain sum of money to be paid to him the aforesaid Jn Middleton by Jn Peirson on separate days at the dwelling house of the aforesaid Jn Middleton surrendered into the hands of the lord of the aforesaid manor by his steward certain customary lands called Mellfeilds as by a copy of court roll for this manor bearing the date saturday being 30.5.1612 here in court produced it is clearly shown and appears now at this court it is presented that the aforesaid Jn Peirson paid to the aforesaid Jn Middleton the full sum of good and legal English money upon 24.6.last past for the aforesaid land according to the true intention of the aforesaid surrender
