and afterwards the court sitting and in full and open court the aforesaid Francis Newton in person surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the aforesaid steward the aforesaid cottage and other premises to the use and behoof of Jn Bowles carpenter and his heirs to whom the same said Jn present here in court the lord by his aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have to him the aforesaid Jn Bowles his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and the aforesaid Jn Bowles gave to the lord his fine as etc and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant etc
