and afterwards to this same court came the aforesaid Jeff Cuckocke junior and Randolph Lunt and Prudence his wife in person and Prudence herself in full and open court first solely and secretly examined by the aforesaid steward and acknowledged according to the custom of the aforesaid manor and they surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the aforesaid steward the aforesaid garden and all and singular the aforesaid premises with their appurtenances and the same said remainder which should occur by and after the death of the aforesaid Rose their mother and all right estate title and interest of and in the same to the use and behoof of Roger Harlakenden gentleman one of the sons of Rich Harlakenden esq lord of this manor and the heirs and assigns of Roger himself forever to whom the same said Roger present here in court the lord by his aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin in the aforesaid form to have to him the aforesaid Roger and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he paid therefore his fine and he was admitted thereof tenant etc but his fealty is now respited because he is under age
