whereas at a court here held for the aforesaid manor 21.10.1625 it was shown by the homage of this same court that Joan Buntinge widow who lately held for herself and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated one croft of land containing by estimation 1a as it lies between lands called Prucknutts on both parts one head thereof abutting upon a lane called Crosse Lane as by copy of a roll of court held for the aforesaid manor 21.8.1585 it is clearly shown died before the said court here first legally approved seised of such her estates and that Joan wife of Thos Price is her daughter and next heir thereof in fee tail according to the custom of the aforesaid manor now to this court came the aforesaid Joan wife of the said Thos Price in person and sought admittance to the aforesaid croft of land as her right and inheritance to whom the lord by his aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have to her the aforesaid Joan and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she made therefore fine and fealty to the lord and was admitted in the aforesaid form tenant etc
