whereas Faith wife of Robt Crowe lately held for herself and her heirs from the lord of this manor as of the same said manor two customary tenements lying together in Holt St viz between a tenement of Sibel Wroo deceased and a tenement then of Thos Bridges as by copy of a roll of court bearing the date 26.6.1595 it is clearly shown now it is shown by the homage of this court that the aforesaid lawful wife died before this court and after the last court seised in the aforesaid form and that Giles Crowe is her son and next heir thereof according to the custom of the aforesaid manor and of full age upon which now to this court came the aforesaid Giles Crowe in person and sought admittance to the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances as his right and inheritance to whom the lord by his aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have to him the aforesaid Giles and his heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he made therefore fine and fealty and was admitted etc
