it is shown by the homage that Edw Turner clerk who lately held for himself and his heirs one customary garden lately built on called Perryes with appurtenances situated upon Colneford Hill died before this court and after the last court seised thereof in the form and that before his death he surrendered into the hands of the lord of this manor by the hands of Edw Turner junior instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Middleton senior and Jn Middleton junior two customary tenants the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor the aforesaid premises with appurtenances to the use in his testament or last will specified and declared in writing the tenor of which same said testament concerning the premises in the following words item I give my customary tenement called Perries situate upon Colneford Hill holden of the Priory of Earls Colne after the decease of Alice my wife to my two daughters Margt and Joan and to their heirs to be equally divided between them as by the same said testament bearing the date 18.11.1625 here in court shown approved under the seal of the ordinary it is clearly shown and appears but admission fine and fealty of the aforesaid Margt and Joan to the reversion or remainder of the premises was respited until etc
