and furthermore at this same court came the aforesaid Jn Kent in person and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his aforesaid steward the aforesaid croft of land called Bradfield alias Broadfield parcel of Broadfield and the hall way and kitchen and kitchen parcel of the said capital messuage and the rooms above the said hall way and kitchen and one part of the said great orchard as it is now divided from the rest of the said great orchard lying removed from a certain piece of land called Blakes and the freedom and liberty to carry and use water at the pond pertaining to the said capital messuage to the use and behoof of the said Ann Bentall her heirs and assigns forever who present in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid parcel of land called Broadfield with appurtenances and the other premises thus surrendered to the use of the said Ann to the said Ann her heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine etc
