whereas at a view with court here held 21.4.1636 Robt Crow junior was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to one parcel of land called Andrewes containing by estimation 3a more or less as by a roll of the aforesaid court is clearly shown now at this court it is shown by the homage that after the last court and before this court viz 2.10.1637 the aforesaid Robt Crow surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jas Pennocke and Cornelius Brownson two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor the aforesaid parcel of land with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Robt Carter of Earls Colne baker his heirs and assigns forever who present in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid parcel of land with appurtenances to himself and his heirs from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rent of 14d per annum and by all other services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine and made fealty
