at this court it is shown by the homage that Ann Leonard widow one of the daughters of Wm Barrett (Jn Barrett) who held for herself and her heirs one customary messuage and garden and one croft of land called Higgens containing by estimation 1a lying in Holt St after the last court died thus seised thereof and that Ann now wife of Jas Hammond and Eliz now wife of Edw Norris are her daughters and coheirs and that the aforesaid Ann and Eliz are sisters and coheirs of Jn Payne deceased and should have the right to the premises upon which came here into court the aforesaid Ann and Eliz and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid messuage and other premises with appurtenances to the aforesaid Ann and Eliz and their heirs forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord for fines etc
