(top of page very faded) and furthermore whereas at a court here held 11.4.1622 Thos Miller was admitted for himself and his heirs to one parcel of waste of the aforesaid manor called Playstowkill in Halstead with a cottage thereon built as by a roll of the aforesaid court it appears now at this court it is shown by the homage that after the last court the aforesaid Thos Miller died thus seised thereof and that Jn Miller is his son and heir who present in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid premises with appurtenances to the aforesaid Jn Miller his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rent of 12d per annum and suit of court and he made fine and fealty
