whereas at a court here held 21.7.1631 Dionisia Hawksby then wife of Jn Hawksby clerk was admitted tenant of the lord for her lifetime to 4a of customary land with appurtenances called Haynes and Clotes the remainder thereof to Mary Lancaster and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated and in default of such issue the remainder thereof to Margt Lancaster and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated the remainder thereof to the rightful heirs of the said Dionisia as by a roll of the aforesaid court it appears now at this court it is shown by the homage that after the said court the aforesaid Mary died without heirs of her body and that after the last court the aforesaid Dionisia died upon which came here into court the aforesaid Margt now wife of Jn Ludgater clerk the aforesaid Jn Ludgater her deputy and humbly sought admittance to the premises to whom the same said Margt by the hands of the said deputy the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid 4a of land with appurtenances to the aforesaid Margt and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she made a fine but fealty was respited
