and afterwards in the same said court and the court sitting came the aforesaid Jas Nicol and in full court at the request of the said Rich Ward and in consideration of 32li2s of legal money of England paid to the aforesaid Jas by the aforesaid Rich on the day of this court he surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the aforesaid steward the aforesaid croft of land with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Benj Ward son of the said Rich Ward and the heirs and assigns of the said Benj forever who present in court humbly sought admittance to the premises to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid croft of land with appurtenances to the aforesaid Benj Ward his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and accustomed and he made fine and fealty
