whereas at a court here held 28.12.1641 Frances Gilson then wife of Thos Gilson and afterwards wife of Jn Underwood was admitted tenant of the lord for herself and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated to one tenement called Sadlers with appurtenances now at this court it was shown by the homage that the aforesaid Frances about two years past died thus seised thereof and that Jn Underwood junior is her son and heir and aged 7yrs or thereabouts to whom present in court the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances to the aforesaid Jn Underwood junior and the heirs of his body procreated from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine but fealty was respited and because the aforesaid Jn is under age as stated above therefore custody of the aforesaid tenement was committed by the lord and delivered by the rod by the aforesaid steward to the aforesaid Jn Underwood senior until the full age of twenty one years of the said Jn Underwood junior and to return to him then an account thereof etc to hold by the rents and services etc thereunto belonging and for such custody he gave to the lord for a fine and made fealty
