whereas at a court here held for the aforesaid manor 18.5.1630 Jn Hawksby clerk and Dionisia his wife and Wm Hawksby her son were admitted tenants of the lord viz the aforesaid Jn and Dionisia for their lifetimes and the aforesaid Wm in reversion after the death of the said Jn and Dionisia to one close or parcel of customary land called Sawyers containing by estimation 4a as by a roll of the aforesaid court it appears now at this court it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid Jn and Dionisia sometime before this court died and furthermore it is shown by the homage t hat the aforesaid Wm after the last court viz 11.4.last surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Giles Crowe instead of the bailiff in the presence of Sam Burton and Robt Crowe two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor the aforesaid close of land above mentioned with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Mary Josselin daughter of Ralph Josselin clerk and the heirs of the said Mary forever and that illegible text the aforesaid Mary died under age and that Thos Josselin is her brother and heir who present in court humbly sought admittance to the premises to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin to have and to hold the aforesaid close or parcel of land with appurtenances to the aforesaid Thos Josselin and his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine but fealty is respited because he is under age
