whereas at the last general court here held 16.1.last Dan Munt was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to one cottage called Sadlers with a yard adjoining containing by estimation 15rod more or less held by the rent of 4d per annum and to 16rod of land parcel of Sadlers held by the rent of 6d per annum as by a roll of the aforesaid court it appears now at this court it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid Dan Munt after the last court viz 24.6.last surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Adams senior instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Robt Abbott and Corn Brownson two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying etc the aforesaid cottage with yard and parcel of land pertaining lying on the south side of the said cottage containing by estimation 16rod with appurtenances as it was then in the tenure and occupation of Thos Tiffin husbandman or his assigns to the use and behoof of Sarah Browne of Earls Colne spinster her heirs and assigns who present in court humbly sought admittance to the premises to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid cottage and yard and other premises with appurtenances to the aforesaid Sarah Browne her heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord for a fine and made fealty
