Nich Caplin Mill Field | and afterwards in the same court and in open court the said Jn Ayling in part of performance of the said last will of the said Thos did in consideration of 50li to him paid by Nich Caplin of London sell the said two crofts of land with the appurtenances to the said Nich his heirs and assigns and for the better perfecting of the said sale he the said Jn Ayling did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of his said steward the said two crofts or parcels of land called Milfield with the appurtenances to the use of the said Nich Caplin his heirs and assigns forever and thereupon the said Nich Caplin by Rich Caplin his attorney and deputy in this behalf did come and desired to be admitted tenant of the said premises to which said Nich by the hands of his said attorney and deputy the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said two crofts of parcels of land with the appurtenances to the said Nich his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs due and he gave to the lord for his fine |
