Hen Burdocke to Perries | at this court it was presented by the homage that Jn Turner a customary tenant of the said manor since the last court that is to say upon 8.6.1659 did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of Nath Wenden instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Jn Brewer and Robt Carter two customary tenants of the said manor the same witnessing one messuage or tenement called Perries with the appurtenances situate upon Colneford Hill to the use of Hen Burdocke the younger of Wakes Colne and of his heirs and assigns forever which premises the said Jn Turner did take to him and his heirs at a court held for the said manor 5.1.1659 and thereupon the said Hen being present in court desired to be admitted tenant of the same to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward hath granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said messuage or tenement with the appurtenances to the said Hen his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services due and he gave to the lord for his fine |
