Hen Hutton to The Middle House | at this court it was presented by the homage that Jn Hutton who held to him and his heirs by copy of court roll bearing date 4.11.1657 one cottage or tenement called The Middle House late of Eliz Browne situate in Holstreete in Earls Colne with the buildings yards gardens and appurtenances to the same belonging since the last court died without heirs of his body and that Hen Hutton is his brother and heir who being present in court desired to be admitted tenant of the same to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward hath granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said premises with the appurtenances to the said Hen his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services due and he gave to the lord for his fine saving the right of any other etc |
