Geo Clarke to three parcels of land | whereas at a court held for the said manor 25.7.1650 Geo Clarke was admitted tenant to him and his heirs to one parcel of customary land parcel of Millfield containing by estimation 4a1r27p lying between another parcel of Millfield on the east and upon a parcel of meadow called Holmes on the west one head abutting upon Barthall Mead and upon the said meadow called Holmes on the south and the other head abutting upon another parcel of Millfield on the north and to one parcel of land containing 1a 3r lying between the said first parcel of land towards the north west and to one other parcel of Millfield containing 32p and a quarter of a perch more or less abutting upon Barthall Mead aforesaid towards the south west now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Geo Clerke since the last court died thereof so seised and that Geo Clerke of the age of 3yrs or thereabouts is his son and heir to which said Geo the son by the hands of Clem Clerke widow his mother and deputy on this behalf the lord of the said manor by his said steward hath granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said several parcels of land with the appurtenances to the said Geo the son his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services due and 7li was taxed and assessed for his fine payable to the lord or his assigns at Colne Priory in manner following that is to say 3li10s upon 25.3.next and 3li10s upon 29.9.next |
