Rebecca Josselin to Brittons | at this court it was shown by the homage that Jas Burton who by copy of court roll bearing the date 18.1.24Chas1 took for himself and his heirs one tenement called Brittons also Burtons with appurtenances situated upon Colne Green after the last general court viz 2.5.1667 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Hen Hatch instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Ralph Josselin clerk and Robt Finch two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying et c the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances to the use and behoof of the aforesaid Rebecca Josselin daughter of the said Ralph and the heirs and assigns of the said Rebecca forever to whom the same said Rebecca by the hands of the said Ralph her attorney and deputy in this part the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances to the aforesaid Rebecca her heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave the lord for a fine but fealty was respited |
