admission of Jn Newton | whereas at a court here held 8.10.24Chas2 Jn Pigg took for himself and his heirs by copy of court roll all those customary land in Earls Colne called Bomes alias Bomefeilds or otherwise containing by estimation 11a more or less with appurtenances together with a messuage and other buildings erected upon the same at this court it is testified by the steward and is shown by the homage that on 3.1.last the aforesaid Jn Pigg by the rod surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his steward the premises with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Jn Newton his heirs and assigns forever on behalf of which the aforesaid Jn Newton came here into court and humbly sought from the lord admittance for himself to the premises as tenant to whom by his steward the lord granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the messuage and aforesaid lands and other premises to the aforesaid Jn Newton his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine etc |
