at a court here held 24.7.1650 Sarah Browne after the wife of Thos Cowle was admitted to her and her heirs to one cottage called Sadlers with a yard adjoining containing by estimation 15p and to 16p of land parcel of Sadlers and at a court here held 29.10.last it appeared to the homage that the said Sarah Cowle surrendered the said premises to the use and intention of her last will and at the last court here held it appeared to the homage that the said Sarah Cowle died after the last court so seised now at this court came Mary Allen of Earls Colne and showed the will of the said Sarah in court dated 2.9.last of which lands in these english words following first I give and bequeath unto my loving kinswoman Mary Allen of Earls Colne spinster and to her heirs forever all that my copyhold messuage or tenement called Sadlers with the yard adjoining containing by estimation 15p and also 16r parcel of Sadlers held of the manor of Colne Priory which I have surrendered to the use of my will upon which the said Mary Allen humbly petitioned of the lord admittance and at this court the lord by the steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said cottage and yard and all and singular appurtenances etc to the said Mary Allen her heirs and assigns of the lord etc and she gave to the lord for fine etc
