at this court it appeared to the homage that Ralph Josselin clerk 10.5.last surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Josselin instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Fletcher and Sam Finch two customary tenants etc all that tenement called Clerks except a barn on the green and five closes of land and pasture called Clerks and Cates Croft or by any other name to the use of any person or persons nominated in writing by Hen Abbutt before the next general court held for the manor or to the use of the said Hen his heirs and assigns forever on the condition that the surrender will be void on the payment of 5li in or upon 11.5.next and also at this court it appeared to the homage that the said Hen by a writing under his hand and seal made 17.1.last nominated and appointed the said premises to the use of Eliz Abbutt her heirs and assigns forever on the condition before written
