whereas at a court here held 20.10.1659 Nich Jekyll gentleman and Martha his wife were admitted to them and the heirs of the said Nich to one customary messuage situate in Castle Heddingham now parcel of the mansion house of the said Nich and 1r of land more or less lying between a croft of land called Braziers and a certain garden late the Earl of Oxford's and at a court here held 20.3.1683 it appeared to the homage that the said Nich and Martha his wife are dead and that Nich Jekyll gentleman is eldest son and next heir of the said Nich and he did not come etc and proclamation was made etc and precept to the bailiff to seize etc now at this court came the said Nich Jekyll the son and humbly petitioned of the lord admittance to the premises who by the steward delivered seisin etc to have and to hold the premises aforesaid to the said Nich his heirs and assigns of the rod etc and he gave the lord for fine etc and fealty respited etc
