at a court held 13.3.1695 Solomon Stebbing gentleman was admitted to 7a of land with appurtenances situate in Earls Colne called Little Bradfields and at the same court the said Solomon was admitted in coparcenary with Mary Clarke and Eliz Ellis to one messuage and one barn with appurtenances and four crofts of land situate in Earls Colne called Seaven Acres containing 6a2r and also to another croft of land now in the occupation of Jonathan Gosselin now at this court it appeared that he lately died seised and that on 3.1.last he surrendered by the hands of Solomon Grimston gentleman instead of the bailiff in the presence of Gilb Smith gentleman and Jn Last all and singular his lands tenements etc held of the manor to the use of his last will and upon this came into court the said Solomon Grimston and showed the last will dated 4.1.last the tenor concerning the premises in the following item I give and bequeath unto her my said daughter Eliz and her heirs forever all and singular my freehold and copyhold messuages lands and tenements and hereditaments lying and being in Earls Colne and Copford in the said county of Essex and respectively holden of the several manors of Earls Colne Colne Priory and Copford with divers remainders shown in the will upon which the said Eliz by the said Solomon Grimston was admitted etc to have according to the will of the said Solomon etc and she gave fine and fealty was respited
