at a court held 20.3.1684 Wm Aylett gentleman was admitted to one croft of land with a messuage built on it containing 1a between a tenement called Prucknetts on one part and a lane called Crosse Lane now at this court it appeared that the said Wm on 11.3.last surrendered by the hands of Robt Jegon gentleman instead of the bailiff in the presence of Thos Littell gentleman and Gilb Smith the premises and all his customary lands held of the manor to the use of Jn Littell of London druggist who present was admitted etc and gave fine and fealty respited
