at a court held 13.3.1695 Agnes Newman and Ann Newman were admitted the said Agnes for life the remainder to the said Ann and the heirs of her body and for defect of issue to the heirs of Geo Warren forever to one cottage or tenement with a yard and garden belonging lying next to Earls Colne churchyard and now in the occupation of the said Agnes now at this court it appeared that the said Ann lately died without issue of her body and that the said Geo Warren lately died and that Edm Warren is the sole grandson and next heir of the said Geo and it appeared by the oath of Jn Eldred that the said Edm on 20.2.last out of court came before the said lords and asked to be admitted to the reversion after the death of Agnes and the lords by their own hands delivered seisin etc and it appeared that the said Edm Warren on 20.2.last surrendered into the lords hands the reversion to the premises to the use of Joseph Rogers of Finchingfield yeoman his heirs and assigns forever which Joseph by Sam Finch his attorney was admitted and gave fine and fealty was respited etc
