at a court held 21.3.1700 Isaac Potter and Susanna his wife were admitted to them and the heirs of the body of the said Isaac on the body of the said Susan legitimately procreated the remainder to the right heirs of the said Isaac to 1a of land parcel of a tenement called Higgins lying next to Holt Street and the pound in Earls Colne held by the annual rent of 1s9d and all services and also to a messuage or tenement called Sextons Tenement with a garden and all appurtenances belonging held by the annual rent of 6d and all services now at this court came the said Isaac Potter and Susan and she being solely examined and consenting surrendered the lands aforesaid to the use of Abraham Hales who present was admitted etc and the fine was pardoned
