at a court here held 20.4.1702 Thos Chaplin was admitted to one cottage with a yard and parcel of the waste of this manor containing 5rod in length parcel of Playstow Kilne then in the several occupations of Moses Davy and Rich Ames now at this court it appeared that the said Thos Chaplin after the last court died seised and that Jn Chaplin is his eldest son and heir who by Mary Chaplin widow his mother and attorney was admitted and gave fine and fealty respited
