at a court held 12.4.1711 Rose Abbutt spinster was admitted to one tenement situate in Earls Colne called The Blue Boar then in the occupation of Isaac Potter and also to one close of pasture containing 8a called Lytchards alias Newmans and also to a parcel of land called Glasiers containing 2a with appurtenances and at the last court it appeared that before that court viz on 3.12.1710 she surrendered by the hands of Mortlock Coldham gentleman instead of the bailiff in the presence of Hen Adams senior and Hen Adams junior all her customary messuages land s etc to the use of her last will and that afterwards the said Rose died upon which at that court first proclamation was made now at this court came Abigail Abbutt widow mother of the said Rose and showed the last will of the said Rose dated 3.12.1712 the tenor concerning the premises in the following words viz item I give and bequeath unto my executors herein after named all that my portion of tithes yearly arising renewing and growing and coming out of and in the said parishes of Great Coggeshall and Little Coggeshall in the said county of Essex and all my copyhold messuage lands and tenements holden of the manors of Earls Colne and Colne Priory to be sold as soon as conveniently may be after my decease and lastly I do nominate and appoint my dear and honoured mother executrix and mr Jn Owers of Wickhambrook in the county of Suffolk executor of this my last will and testament as shown etc and upon this the said Abigail Abbott in person and the said Jn Owers by the said Abigail his attorney were admitted etc and gave fine etc but fealty was respited
