at a court held 9.1.1679 George Clarke and Sarah his wife were admitted to a parcel of land parcel of Millfield containing 4a1r27p lying between a parcel of Millfields to the east and upon a meadow called Holmes to the west one head abuts on Barthall Mead and the said meadow called Holmes to the south and the other head abuts on another parcel of Millfield to the north and to another parcel of Millfield containing 1a3r lying between the first parcel to the north and west and to another parcel of Millfield containing 32p abutting on Barthall Mead to the south and east to hold to the said Geo and Sarah and the heirs of the body of the said Geo on the body of Sarah procreated to remain to the heirs of the said Geo forever now at this court it appeared that the said Geo and Sarah died so seised and that Sarah wife of Thos Payne of Boreham Essex is only daughter and heir of the body of the said Geo Clarke and Sarah his wife upon which came the said Sarah by the said Thos Payne her husband and was admitted and gave fine and fealty respited etc
